‘Trust EP’ is another wonderfully singular piece of workfrom an artist who’s never felt the need to try and find his place, or evengive the notion of attempting to fit in credence. From the title track’s mournfulhorns and baritone vocal sample, to the pressing, insistent rhythms of 'BurntOut Car In A Forest', the tracks on show are complex and intricate, whileremaining profoundly human and engaging. The EP is his first release since the short-run Mountain /Financial District 7” released last May, and is to be followed later this yearby his second full-length album.

Man sagt, er sei Ferris Bueller mit einer Gitarre. Blau machen ist genau sein Ding. Aber statt den knallroten Ferrari 250 GT vom Daddy seines besten Kumpels zu entführen und einen Abhang hinab zu stürzen, spielt er lieber Lo-Fi-Pop mit butterweichen Bass-Drums und nörgelnden Gitarren, die in die Sonne blinzeln. Der 22-Jährige aus Montreal ist ein ähnlich cooler Slacker wie DARWIN DEEZ – nur ohne das Stirnband und den Pudel-Locken.
